Building and Mechanical Permits
Building and mechanical permit applications must be submitted online at this link. Contractors or property owners must complete the application and upload all required documents for review. Once reviewed and approved, applicants will be notified of the permit fees.

Electrical Permits
Electrical permits are issued through the State of Iowa.

Site Plans are required for:
New dwelling construction
Accessory Structures
Additions
Decks & Porches
Fences (no permit required if 4’ or under)

Building/Construction Plans are required for:
New dwelling construction
Accessory Structures over 120 SF
Additions
Major Remodel Projects
