The La Porte City Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven members appointed by the City Council who are qualified by knowledge or experience to act in matters pertaining to the development of a City plan. Duties include reviewing and making recommendations regarding the adoption or amendment to the La Porte City Comprehensive Plan and the Development Ordinance which includes subdivision plats, vacation of platted areas, and other land use changes or issues.
Members are appointed to 5 year terms.
